Do you think that publishers are investing too much money into celebrity-driven books and very little in the unrecognizable author?

Yes! I think this for two reasons:

1. I don't know of anyone, including myself, who reads those celebrity books. (I'm assuming you mean the ones about current events.) Besides libraries and research, does anyone really care? You can get so much info on TV for free.

2. There are so many fabulous authors out there that deserve attention.

If the trend continues, the quality of literature and information products will decline. The thought will be that if you're not famous, you might as well not bother.
